Beach Blast TRI & DU happens twice a year - in April and September. 2013 will be our 9th year. Races take place on the beautiful Gulf Coast and its magical beaches. Season 2013 will bring Beach Blast on April 27 and September 14.
All 4 races start from the same spot on the beautiful local beach. Please note that the park is located in the Eastern Time Zone (approx a mile from the Central/ Eastern Time Zone line) but to keep organizers and volunteers sane, the races run on CENTRAL TIMES. Olympic races take off at 7:00 am CT and Sprint distance races start at 7:30am CT. Swimmers and runners (duathletes after the first run on the beach) will follow the same course to T1, on the bike, T2, and run. Participants of Sprint distance races will turn around on the bike and run before Olympic participants will. Please watch for signs, flags, and volunteers to lead you.
Having 4 races at once makes Beach Blast a unique event and a great destination for a weekend on the beach!
A big Thank you to all Beach Blast participants and volunteers! April brought us a great weather and everyone had a blast. Thanks to all who donated to our raffle for a Rudy Project helmet Beach Blast donated $610 to Boston Marathon victims. We hope to see you in September again!
