Location: HWY 98 - St. Joe Beach - between Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe, Panhandle Florida: click here for a locator.If you are coming from Panama City Beach follow HWY 98. When you get to Mexico Beach, look for El Governor Motel on your righthand side. Keep going on HWY 98 and 2.5 miles after El Governor, on your left-hand side will be a park - your race site! For those coming from the other direction; park will be on your right-hand side.
Beach Blast Triathlon & Duathlon II will take place on September 12th.

BEACH BLAST consists of 4 races; pick your race and distance:

Sprint Triathlon 0.35 mile swim - 15 mile bike - 3.1 mile run
Sprint Duathlon 1.2 mile run - 15 mile bike - 3.1 mile run
Olympic Triathlon 0.7 mile swim - 25 mile bike - 6.2 mile run
Olympic Duathlon 3.1 mile run - 25 mile bike - 6.2 mile run
How does Beach Blast work? All 4 races start from the same spot on the beautiful local beach. Olympic races take off at 7:00 am CT and Sprint distance races start at 7:30am CT. Swimmers and runners (duathletes after the first run on the beach) will follow the same course to T1, on the bike, T2, and run. Participants of Sprint distance races will turn around on the bike and run before Olympic participants will. Please watch for signs, flags, and volunteers to lead you.
Having 4 races at once makes Beach Blast a unique event and great destination for a weekend on the beach!
There will be a first-time triathlete/duathlete meeting at El Governor Hotel 7:00PM (CT). Everyone who has questions about the race, rules or other details is invited!

FRIDAY
Packet pick up available on Friday 5-8pm CT at El Governor Hotel (click here for more info) and Saturday morning at the race site.
Transition area opens at 5:30am CT. Packet pick up and body marking start at 5:30am CT. Only body-marked athletes will be allowed to enter the transition area. Very convenient parking is available in the park. please follow directions from volunteers directing parking.
Pre-race meeting and a word from the USAT Official on the beach at 6:50 am - please attend whether you are participating in Sprint or Olympic race.
Saturday
Race start: Olympic race starts at 7:00am CT. Sprint race starts at 7:30am CT. Please note: all times are CENTRAL.
Awardsceremony starts as soon as the last athlete crosses the finish line. Enjoy grilled shrimp, hot dogs, pizza, beer, and door prizes while you wait!

There will be no race day registrations allowed. You may register the night before race at the packet pick up BUT you will receive a t-shirt or goody bag as we did not have a chance to prepare for your very last minute registration. And add $10.00 to the regular registration fees please.
